Financial and digital literacy

Financial and digital literacy

In today’s rapidly evolving world, financial and digital literacy are essential skills for economic empowerment and social inclusion. At Daang Vikas Sansthan (DVS), we focus on equipping marginalized communities—especially women and youth—with the knowledge and tools to navigate financial systems and digital technologies confidently and safely.

Our financial and digital literacy programs help individuals make informed decisions, access banking and government services, and participate fully in the digital economy.

Our Key Activities Include:

  • Training on basic financial concepts such as saving, budgeting, credit, and insurance
  • Awareness and facilitation for opening and using bank accounts, including Jan Dhan accounts
  • Digital literacy workshops covering mobile phone use, internet safety, and online government portals
  • Support for accessing digital payment systems and e-governance services
  • Capacity building of community facilitators and local leaders to sustain awareness efforts
  • Promotion of entrepreneurship through financial planning and digital marketing skills

By bridging the digital and financial divide, DVS empowers communities to enhance their livelihoods, access rights, and improve their overall quality of life.
