Health and Nutrition

Health and nutrition are critical to the well-being and development of individuals and communities, especially among the rural poor. At Daang Vikas Sansthan (DVS), we focus on improving access to basic health services and promoting nutrition awareness among vulnerable populations—particularly women, children, and mine workers.

In regions where public health services are limited or underutilized, our interventions aim to close the gap through education, community mobilization, and access to government schemes.

Our Key Initiatives Include:

  • Community health awareness programs on maternal and child health, anemia, immunization, and hygiene
  • Nutrition education and kitchen garden promotion for improved food diversity and food security
  • Linkages to public health services, including government health camps, immunization drives, and insurance schemes (like Ayushman Bharat)
  • Health check-ups and camps, particularly for mine workers and their families
  • Support to frontline health workers (ASHA, ANM) through training and coordination
  • Advocacy for improved public health infrastructure in underserved rural areas

Our work emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and community responsibility, ensuring that health becomes a right, not a privilege.
