Workers in the unorganized sector—particularly in mining, construction, and agriculture—often face exploitation, unsafe conditions, and lack of social security. At Daang Vikas Sansthan (DVS), we are committed to promoting labour welfare and dignity of work by supporting these workers in accessing their rights, improving workplace safety, and securing better livelihoods.
Our interventions focus on some of the most vulnerable groups, including daily wage laborers, mine workers, and women workers in informal sectors across eastern Rajasthan.
Key Areas of Our Work:
- Awareness on labour rights, wages, and workplace safety
- Support for registration under welfare boards and labor schemes
- Facilitation of access to social security benefits, such as pensions, health insurance, and compensation
- Occupational health programs, especially for high-risk workers like those in mining
- Advocacy for fair working conditions and legal protection through policy engagement
- Skill-building and vocational training to help workers transition into safer, more sustainable livelihoods
Through collective action, legal empowerment, and capacity building, DVS works to ensure that laborers are not just workers—but respected, protected, and valued members of society.
